Outdoors will certainly be Great Again!

‘It’s like the brightest sunrise

Waiting on the other side of the darkest night

Don’t ever lose hope, hold on and believe

Maybe you just haven’t seen it, just haven’t seen it yet

You’re closer than you think you are

Only moments from the break of dawn

All His promises are just up ahead’  – (Haven’t seen it yet -Danny Gokey)

What have you been up to?

Adventureland Camp has been closed since March 22, 2020. It’s been lonely here. But we’ve been praying and enjoying beautiful sunrises and wonderful sunsets! Those lovely mountains across the road have been keeping us company. Oh! And the baboons still make those scary sounds in the night. It’s been business as usual for them.

Managing our emotions for success

We can’t wait for this challenge to be over but when it’s finally safe to re-open, there will be great rejoicing in these lands. I’m sure you can’t wait to embrace the outdoors and be free! You’ll find the place cleaner and the air fresher. Our fire cooked meals will definitely taste much better. It will be exciting to see so many faces, again. We can’t wait for the morning jogs and the Zumba sessions. I’m sure you are also looking forward to the group formations, the great friendships that are formed during camp and the one on one coaching sessions with your favorite coaches. What about the famous bon fire night stories on the mountain top? The war cries? The singing?

Hold your breath

However, before that happens, we must all play our part to make sure that day comes sooner by following the government guidelines on;

Testing and self isolation

Wearing masks in public

Social Distancing

And avoiding non-essential travel

In the meantime, we’re busy getting the campsite clean and stocking up wattle logs for those freezing Nyanga nights. We want to be ready when the day comes to reopen our doors to our campers. You will feel safe and comfortable staying with us. We can’t wait to welcome you back!
